Corina Brito
Cultural Attaché

Corina Brito’s passion for Brazil and her interest in sharing with the Atlanta community the rich tapestry that is Brazilian culture, led her to become involved in the ARJSCC.

An accomplished violinist, Ms. Brito has played in numerous orchestras and chamber groups in Brazil, the UK and in the US. She currently keeps a busy violin-teaching studio in the Atlanta area and is a member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas and the Suzuki Association of Georgia. Corina Brito has a master degree in Arts Administration from London City University and has directed various cultural/ educational programs: for the government of her native state of Pará, in Brazil, for the Santa Marcelina College in São Paulo, and created the series “Films on Fridays”, a short films series about Brazilian art with lectures by the film directors. Ms. Brito was a member of the mayor’s committee on Hispanic affairs for the city of Baltimore, MD, and received a commendation from Baltimore’s mayor Kurt Schmoke, for her artistic contributions to that city.

Ms. Brito is a native of Belém do Pará, and has lived in the US for over sixteen years. She and her husband Paul Nunn live in Cumming, GA.
